Arogya Prabodhini started working for Adolescent and health related issues.It is the voluntary organisation working on Health education,Adolescent education, Youth welfare,Women empowerment,AIDS prevention,Tobacco control among school children & women, ,Practice of hand washing in the students,arrangement of the programmes on World Health Day,Introduction of women scientist in India,Women’s Day, No-Tobacco Day,constructed Gymnasium hall for rural youths and networking with youths.We covered about 40,000...

To arrange health programmes with people’s participation as to get health for all. To arrange health education,preventive measures,awareness,training programmes and to write & publish research papers.To run de-addiction movement,de-addiction centre. Adoescent sexuality education,personality development,AIDS prevention,awareness about addiction for youth . To develop awareness about traditional medicine,Homoeopathy and its use.To cultivate medicinal plants

Where We Work

We work in Gadchiroli district.

Gadchiroli is categorized as tribal and undeveloped,affected by naxal movement district of India situated north-east side of the Maharashtra.

Rural population is more than urban population.People are mostly depend on the farm.There are very less number of industries.The population of the district is 1072942.The tribal population that resides in district is 38.17% Literacy rate is 66.03% (as per census 2011).The most of the land is covered with forest and hills.Forest cover more than 75 % of the geographical area of the district.Seven languages are spoken in the district i.e.Marathi,Hindi,Gondi, Madiya,Telugu,Bengali,Chhattisgadi.
